Great view of the backside of Highlands and the Valley coming down from Marron Peak.
What an outstanding hike up the Summit trail to the Elk Camp Summit, the payoff at the end with views of the Maroon Bells is amazing! From the Elk Camp gondola it took around 1.5 hours to hike up then rougly 40 minutes to hike back down, it was one of the best trails that I have ever hiked! You can also cheat and take the lift up and back if you didn't want to hike it and wanted to see the views.
While visiting, we twice walked up from the gondola elk camp drop off, via the rabbit run trail which is quite pretty, through the meadows to the Sierra loop which links to the summit trail. It took us about 90 minutes total with lots of stops for photographing the flowers and scenery. Wonderful views on the way up. Even more spectacular views from the elk camp summit. We also once walked down from the summit to snowmass base village. The area of the trail which is closed during moose/elk birthing is extremely pretty. For those who enjoy hiking, this is a must-do. Nice to also see several black bear and a buck deer in velvet from the elk camp chair lift.

Why is it worth entering here? Because such a beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountains with the beautifully visible peak of Maroon Bells cannot be missed. A wonderful breathtaking view. I can recommend it to everyone with all my heart because it's worth it.
Beautiful views from the top of Elk Camp at Snowmass Mountain. They need more snow, but other than that and the high prices, we loved our week skiing here.
Great view of the bells and surroundings mountains, nice spot to start a hike or bike down. Well worth it even if you do not hike or bike, especially during autumn.
